1) The students went canoeing for two hours on the Lammasjarvi lake and made a campfire on the Harakka island, where they fried sausages. There were teams of 2-3 students and they rode together around the island. They also made a campfire and fried sausages and drank tea.
2) The students of the three countries participating in the Erasmus + project spent one hour playing baseball together.
Baseball is a national sport in Finland, and Romanian and French students learned, during this week, the basic rules and they practised throwing, catching and hitting the ball.
For the first time in their life, the pupils paddled with the paddle of a canoe and appreciated the value of a beautiful outdoor day with friends. Outdoor movement means health for the body and for the soul. Sharing a canoe with someone, enjoying the beauty of nature, and trying to find a way to go forward is a challenge and an overcoming of your own barriers. Finnish baseball was also an opportunity to try a new sport and to enjoy and share fears, failures and success.
