“A healthy Mind in a healthy Body” with Erasmus+. The challenge is to modify and make the relation to our own personality evolve in an individual and collective approach. The actors of all ages, in more or less disabling conditions will meet and share their experiences . The outputs of these experiences (reports, articles on the blog, videos) will be collected and shared during the meeting projects, courses and congress and disseminated out. We want to support youth activeness in the fields of healthy lifestyle. Students are active in the planning, development and evaluation of the project.

During the week when we hosted English and Spanish students, we worked on the topic of self-esteem.

First , the students were asked to find positive adjectives or sentences to describe someone’s personality and to pay compliments to a person.

After that review, we started the activity itself. The students were divided into small groups  of 4 or 5. Each student in every group was given an  envelope.  They then had to come to the desk and pick up one green paper and as many pink papers as there are other people in the group. On the green paper, they were to write something positive about themselves.

On the pink papers, they  wrote something positive about each member of the group.

The pupils put the green paper in their own envelope and the other pink papers in the other pupils' envelopes.

Then the pupils opened their envelopes and had a look at what was written on their papers.

They read what was written to the rest of the group and gave their impressions.

The students  had to think positively and they were made more aware of their qualities, thus improving their level of self-esteem. The activity was quite fun because some were really surprised by the compliments they received and that they did not expect at all. They felt happy and valued.

It was a good opportunity to discuss the subject of self-confidence and help them overcome their sometimes poor self-esteem and their inclination to think in a negative way either about themselves or about the others.
