The afternoon, in keeping with the idea of health with outdoor pursuits, students and teachers went for a trekking down. The touristic village of Donovaly offers excellent conditions for hiking, since it’s located between two national parks: The Low Tatras and the Great Fatra. We went up to Nová Hoľa Mountain, which was reached comfortably by taking the modern TELEMIX Nová Hoľa chair lift.
It was an ideal starting point for hikes (1355 meters high) along the ridges of the Great Fatra. The scents and sounds of nature were all around. Students hiked down through beautiful forest scenes and pure fresh air from the very top. For some of the students this was their first experience of walking in the mountains. Trails can take you through beautiful areas and can showcase the most spectacular views.
The friendly environment made everybody happy and very active improving their physical conditions in a very motivating way. All the students and teachers got along very well in spite of the rain. The activity improved their social abilities.
