The English, French and Spanish students were divided into two groups (mixed nationalities), A and B, so that they were 16 students in each group. The teacher asked the students what words they knew in English to compliment good aspects about others. There was a brainstorming and positive vocabulary and structures such as “you are...”, “you have got…” or ”you can…” were elicited. After that, they were given each an envelope where they had to write their name and in a green paper they had to write a positive aspects about themselves. Then, on the pink papers they had to write positive things about their partners. They placed the papers inside each partner’s envelop and read them.
