The students and teachers in the Erasmus project visit the University UAB, the Food technological plant where they can see different halls and laboratories equipped with the most advanced technology. They are also given lots of detailed explanations on how different installations work and what their role is in food processing, for different procedures like :pasteurization, skimming, examination of some particles. They also found out how a recipe can be changed according to the demands of the people, of the buyers or to meet the health standards and requirements. They could see some of the products produced there and ask questions during the entire presentation. Afterwards, the students and teachers went and visited the little goat and sheep farm, learned about how these animals are raised, how the breeds that are specific to the region are preserved and what they are useful for.
The students found out a lot of interesting things about the ingredients used in some of the products we consume on a daily basis like milk, butter, cheese, cream, different kinds of beverage and bread. They also learned about the type of additives and procedures used to help main the qualities of the product stable for a certain period of time. They saw how sheep ang goats are raised and taken care of so that the products obtained from them be healthy.
