“A healthy Mind in a healthy Body” with Erasmus+. The challenge is to modify and make the relation to our own personality evolve in an individual and collective approach. The actors of all ages, in more or less disabling conditions will meet and share their experiences . The outputs of these experiences (reports, articles on the blog, videos) will be collected and shared during the meeting projects, courses and congress and disseminated out. We want to support youth activeness in the fields of healthy lifestyle. Students are active in the planning, development and evaluation of the project.

The Purple Point -Fighting against gender-based violence

The Purple Point has been created by some students who had detected that other students where suffering acts that could be considered "gender-based violence". The best way to eradicate this kind of behaviours, some of them quite accepted in our society, is to educate the community about the violence that women suffer. If we are more aware, we can avoid these acts and achieve a more equal and respectful society.

With that objective in mind, some students thought that it could be very interesting to inform and have some statistics about what kind of violent acts women are suffering, so they designed a poster where they identified three types of gender-based violent acts:

-Gender violence (if it is related to couple violence)

-Sexist violence (when they suffer sexists acts but the person is not from the family or couple)

-Domestic violence (the agressor is from the family)

They also described the type of agressions:

-Sexual (any sexual act that is not agreed upon)

-Economic (the woman is deprived of economic resources)

-Environmental (any behaviour that involves breaking objects that belong to a woman)

-Psychological (any behaviour that produces emotional suffering)

-Social (any behaviour that limits the social interaction of the woman)

-Physical (any behaviour that implies strength and that could end up in a physical injury)

The also wrote examples with three levels of alert

The whole academic community has been encouraged to read the poster and put a sticker in any of the types of gender-based violence that they have ever suffered. The poster will be in the hall for some weeks and the students hope they obtain reliable statistics and data about gender-based violence.

This activity has been in the a Catalan newspaper as a journalist came to the school to get to know more about the Purple Point and published an article.

Watch the video to see the students explaining their purpose with this interesting action!

A healthy mind is a non-sexist mind!!!
