Students visited CRAM, Marine animal rehabilitation centre. Here students worked in small groups on the beach on a small given area. They had to collect any item of rubbish that they could find and gather them together. Once back at the centre the students conducted different evaluations on their findings. They recorded these on work sheets. Typical findings were lolly sticks, plastic straws, cigarette ends, fishing wire.
The less plastic we use the less that goes in the ocean. The students also found out that any part of the beach contained rubbish that could harm the wildlife.
